Footage of Iran in the 1970s shows a HUGE contrast between then and now
Iran for the rich looked like this in the 1970s. But most lived in poverty, despite a booming oil industry and were against the U.S.-backed Shah. He was replaced with Islamic leader Ayatollah Khomeini in the 1979 revolution. But days after a compulsory hijab ruling was introduced. Thousands marched in protest.
