[2:00]

In my 2-Minute Neuroscience videos I simplistically explain neuroscience topics in 2 minutes or less. In this video, I cover directional terms in neuroscience. I discuss terms that are consistent throughout the nervous system: superior, inferior, anterior, posterior, medial and lateral. I also cover terms that change their meaning depending on whether we are looking at the brain or spinal cord: dorsal, ventral, rostral, and caudal. Finally, I discuss three types of sections the brain is commonly examined in: sagittal, horizontal/transverse, and coronal/frontal.
