Inside the brain of someone suffering with depression

Stephen Nolan went to the University of Manchester to meet Prof Ian Anderson who is carrying out a study on people with depression. With the help of brain imaging, his research has found that in the hippocampus area of the brain, there is 25% less grey matter in people suffering with depression than those who don’t.
