American Horror Story has brought old age circus freak performers into the spotlight lately but freak shows used to be the main entertainment 50 odd years back, and people like Simon Metz (Schlitzie) the pinhead would have been performers, The Tocci Brother conjoined twins, Midget Tom Thumb and his wife Lavinia Warren, also had huge success in the Circus Freaks show industry, Prince Randian the human caterpillar baffled the audience with his incredible cigarette lighting trick for years but unfortunately not all these “Human Freaks” had a happy ending, Edward MorDake is a darker story and he did not perform in circuses or sideshows and suffered tremendously from his deformities, having a face on the back of his own head that could supposedly laugh and cry made things very hard for Mr Mordake and led him to take his life.
