Neurological disorders like Parkinson’s Disease are often treat with pharmaceuticals. But neuroscientists can also alleviate symptoms by changing the brain activity itself, using a technique known as deep brain stimulation. At the 2016 World Science Festival, neurosurgeon Guy McKhann and biomedical engineer Sri Sarma discussed how this groundbreaking technique is improving patients’ lives and helping to bring about a new era in neuroscience.
